Abstract:
Most organizations and teams use Scrum to build better products. They understand the benefits that Scrum provides from a product development perspective in terms of faster time to market, reduced risk, increased visibility, improved adaptability, and increased customer satisfaction. Few, however, understand or know how to use Scrum to build better teams. Come to this talk to learn about what makes a team high performing and discover a model that helps you build and foster such teams. We will take a different look at Scrum and go beyond the mechanics of Scrum’s accountabilities, events, and artifacts, to get a deeper understanding of how Scrum fits very nicely with the high performing team model. Leave this session with a new understanding of Scrum and its benefits from a team perspective, along with a canvas that you can add to your toolbox and start using immediately to guide your teams to higher levels of performance.
